A push-to-talk platform with control for managers and speed for field teams

PTTHex combines a Customer Panel for organization, policy, devices, channels, dispatch, and visibility with a Client app for approved users on Android, iOS, and web.

Built for live operations

Start with how people work today, then shape users, devices, channels, access, and support around the rollout.

What the platform connects

PTTHex keeps public product language focused on the customer-visible workflow: managers configure the operating model, field users communicate through approved channels, and support teams review rollout readiness.

Push-to-talk voice

Support press, hold, release, active speaker, busy, denied, timeout, and reconnect states after Customer Panel admission is available.

Channels and teams

Organize communication around branches, departments, groups, users, devices, channels, dispatcher priority, and emergency channel policy.

Role-aware access

Plan customer owner, security admin, dispatcher, branch, department, device approval, auditor, and operator responsibilities at a business level.

User and device workflows

Handle login, device registration, approval states, session behavior, and logout through the Customer Panel authority.

Location-aware coordination

Use maps, zones, telemetry, and dispatch context only where customer policy, permissions, and privacy review support them.

Deployment support

Plan local or customer-controlled deployment discussions, setup checklists, validation, support handoff, and rollback review at the right level.

Self-hosted by design

Runs on your server, not someone else's cloud

PTTHex is built to run on hardware the customer controls. After deployment the platform does not depend on an outside subscription service to keep working, and the data your teams generate stays on your own server. That makes it a practical fit for organizations with data-sovereignty, privacy, and security requirements.

  • No external SaaS in the runtime path once the system is installed.
  • No hosted telemetry; usage and health stay inside your network.
  • No third-party sign-in check and no paid map tiles to keep the platform running.

Your server, your data

Everything runs on the customer's own server, so records and activity are not sent to an outside provider.

No hosted telemetry

The platform does not phone home. Operational signals stay local to your deployment.

Self-hosted sign-in check

The login puzzle is served by your own system, so signing in does not rely on an external verification service.

Self-hosted map tiles

The dispatch map draws from self-hosted tiles with an offline cache, not a metered outside map provider.

Capabilities across the stack

Beyond push-to-talk, PTTHex brings the coordination tools field operations rely on into one platform, each governed by the same access and policy rules.

Calling and dialer

Internal extensions and external calls over SIP trunks, with policy and fraud checks that can deny a call before it connects. Call history is kept without raw audio.

Live dispatch map and geofences

A realtime map on self-hosted tiles showing presence and position, with zones and geofences that apply policy. Stale positions are marked stale, never shown as live.

SOS and emergency workflows

A dedicated SOS path with a clear lifecycle from open to acknowledged, escalated, and resolved. An emergency alert is never silently dropped and cannot be silenced by preferences.

Messaging, notices and notifications

Direct and channel messages, quick notices from a prepared set, broadcasts, read receipts, and offline queueing. Emergency notifications take precedence over the rest.

Translation, captions and transcription

A self-hosted language layer for live translation, captions, and transcription, governed locally, consent-gated, and quota-metered. Raw audio is not retained.

Reporting and audit

Overview, usage, availability, incidents, and compliance reporting, plus an immutable, redacted audit trail. Every export stays within retention and policy.

Voice control

How a voice session stays controlled

Push-to-talk needs to be fast, but speed should never mean anyone can take the floor. PTTHex is designed so that every voice session is checked, prioritized, and reported honestly, without slowing down the people doing the work.

  • Permission before you key

The platform confirms a user is allowed to speak on a channel before their voice goes out, so an unapproved device or role cannot take the floor.

  • Emergencies come first

An emergency can take priority within policy. The channel's history is preserved, not erased, and the change is recorded.

  • Honest session quality

Connection state is shown as it really is, whether active, busy, denied, or reconnecting. A degraded session is never reported as healthy.

Designed for controlled rollout

A useful platform conversation starts with team structure, channel expectations, user and device approval, privacy needs, and how communication should change after launch.

  • Map branches, departments, teams, roles, and daily handoffs.
  • Review approved channels, device registration, notices, SOS policy, and map use.
  • Keep access, monitoring, audit, and privacy expectations visible before implementation begins.
